Using your own bike

Do not ride your 50cc/125cc motorcycle to your CBT, unless you hold a valid DL196 CBT certificate. If you are using your own motorcycle for your CBT you need to get it there via a van or a licensed rider would need to bring it for you. If you choose to bring your own motorcycle , proof of MOT, tax and insurance must be provided on your training day. It must have the correct L plates applied and your insurance must cover you to ride while under instruction. Until we sign your DL196 CBT certificate you cannot ride your motorcycle by yourself on the road. Therefore, if you do not pass your CBT you may also need to arrange pick up for your motorcycle from our CBT sight. There is no discount for using your own bike for your CBT.

The bellow images show where your L plates should be attached to your bike or moped. They should be full size L plates which are in an upright position to the centre or to the right of the motorcycle.

Prior to Borders Bike Training confirming your booking you will need to read through the below terms and conditions carefully and send us a signed copy.
